He's Heading East was a blog, memoir, reflection and documentation of a year long travel backpacking East. Starting in the United States, I have blogged my travels through many towns, countries and cultures - comparing how people live and interact with myself, each other and their surroundings. Within 365 days I traveled eastwardly beyond 30 countries and over 100 new cities, provinces and territories. My journey started as an opportunity to explore and observe the traditions and cultures far beyond what I have learned through my personal and professional experience. I sent off looking to learn and discover how people create architecture and architecture formed cultures and traditions. What I learned on this journey far exceeds walls, bricks and masonry, but extreme understanding of space, families, cultures and self. I have been changed forever will continue to evolve my understanding for the spirit of architecture.
